Our foundry, based in Guebwiller in Alsace and part of the group NSC, manufactures a range of cast iron parts in small and medium batches.
An foundry in Alsace established since 1810
It all began in Guebwiller, in the Haut-Rhin, when Nicolas Schlumberger set up his workshops in 1810. As a manufacturer of textile machinery, he incorporated a foundry into his production facilities from the outset. For over a century and a half, this workshop operated exclusively to meet the group’s internal needs.
In 1970, the foundry began offering its services to external industrial clients.
In 2006, it became a fully-fledged company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NSC Group. Same site. Same business. A now independent organisation, focused on European industry.
What remains the same
Expertise in metallurgy cannot be improvised. GL, GS and ADI cast iron: we work with all three grades, on components weighing up to 600 kg, from prototypes to small and medium-sized production runs. Each component is designed, manufactured and inspected as part of a fully traceable end-to-end process.
ISO 9001, marine certifications from Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s, DNV and ABS, EcoVadis. Our commitments are certified, not declared.
45 people, a flat hierarchy, and quick decisions. We work on some specifications that are demanding, often complex, sometimes urgent.
